Napa Valley is the most popular and ultimate retreat for wine and food lovers, wine travelers and romantics. Napa Valley offers hundreds of wineries, with most are open to visitors for wine tasting or tours. With all that is has to offer, Napa Valley is relatively small in size. It's just 35 miles long, which means you can venture from one end to the other in just under an hour (traffic permitting). Conveniently, most of the large wineries -- as well as most of the Napa Valley hotels, shops, and restaurants -- line a single road, Highway 29. While this is the easiest way to navigate the Napa Valley, don’t miss the driving the scenic Silverado Trail which is located just to the east of Highway 29. Southern Napa Valley features the cities and towns of Napa, Yountville, Oakville and Rutherford. Northern Napa Valley features the towns of St. Helena and Calistoga.
