Kalyra is the label Mike Brown, (head winemaker for Buttonwood Farm Winery) created in 1989. Kalyra comes from the Australian Aboriginal meaning ?a wild and pleasant place?. The connection behind the name and the wines is, good wine should be a direct reflection of the fuit and the characteristics of the regions they came from.

You will also find some of Mike?s wines under the M.Brown label where he travels annually to Australia so he can source fruit for a traditional Shiraz, dry Riesling, and even something different, a Shiraz/Cabernet blend.
